Pakistan International Airlines is seeking to lease up to four narrowbody aircraft that would be available for delivery between now and the end of 2018.
A tender notice shows that the carrier is seeking aircraft that will be no older than 12 years at the date of delivery, and it is seeking a six-year lease term, or up to the aircraft’s first 12-year check.
The jets are to be configured for at least 120 seats in a dual-class layout, PIA adds.
Responses to the requirement are due by 8 January.
The latest tender follows a similar one that closed on 2 November seeking up to four narrowbodies with 150 seats or more. The outcome of that tender is unclear.
While the tender does not specify the model required, Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the carrier operates a fleet of 15 Airbus A320s powered by CFM International CFM57 engines.
Four of the A320s are wet-leased from VietJet Air, while PIA operates the rest, which are leased from GECAS, Aergo Capital and Asia Aviation Capital.
