Airbus has rolled out the first A320neo to be fitted with the CFM International Leap-1A powerplant.
The Leap-1A is the rival engine to the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G on the type.
CFM already produces the CFM56 for the current A320 family but the Leap is designed to slash fuel-burn on the re-engined variant.
Airbus is already engaged in a flight-test campaign for the PW1100G-powered A320neo. It has yet to set a date for the Leap-1A version's maiden flight.
Three A320neo airframes have so far been produced for the certification programme.
