Airbus will demonstrate two of its giant A380s at the Paris Air Show in June, one in the static park, the other taking part in the daily flight display.
Each will be fitted with different engines. The Rolls-Royce-powered A380, number MSN007 (registration F-WWJB), is equipped with a fully representative three-class 519 seat cabin and will be available in the static park to invited guests for cabin tours. This aircraft is the second to be fully furnished and has been used for extensive route-proving flights. It was recently demonstrated to media passengers, including flightglobal.
Aircraft MSN009 (F-WWEA) the first Engine Alliance GP7200-powered aircraft, will be presented in the flying display. This is the fifth development A380, which has flown around 360 flight hours since its first flight in August 2006. Certification of the GP7200-powered version is due at the end of the year, with delivery in August 2008 to first GP7200 customer Emirates, which has 45 aircraft on order.
