The fourth Boeing 787 (ZA004) positioned to Colorado Springs for several days in late May to briefly undergo high-elevation airfield tests. ZA004 had previously flown trials in Mesa, Arizona to test operations at a low-elevation airport in hot weather. The four Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered 787s in flight-testing have logged more than 840h over the past six months. Boeing says the next two Dreamliners, which are the first powered by the General Electric GEnx engine, are expected to join the flight-test programme soon.
