Insurance companies are facing a bill for millions of dollars after a massive snowstorm on the US East Coast caused the roof to collapse at Dulles Jet Center in Washington DC.
The collapse inflicted hefty damage on the business jets beneath. Photographs show how the unprecedented snowfall in Washington and northern Virginia created a massive load on the roof, forcing it down on to two Bombardier Global Expresses and a Gulfstream G550. It is not known whether the aircraft can be repaired.
The storm also took out Dulles Aviation's hangar at Manassas Regional airport in Virginia. Newspaper reports say there were no aircraft or people inside this hangar when it came down.
