German flag-carrier Lufthansa’s first Airbus A350-900 is nearing structural completion at the Toulouse final assembly line.
The Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-powered aircraft, MSN74, will be registered D-AIXA.
Lufthansa has not given a specific date for delivery, stating only that the aircraft will be stationed at Munich “in the winter”.
The powerplants have yet to be mounted on the airframe and the A350 is still to undergo cabin interior fitting.
Lufthansa is placing its first 10 A350s at its Munich hub. The aircraft will be configured with 293 seats – including 48 in business-class and 21 in premium-economy.
