NASA envisions a more capable moon buggy for astronauts to roam about on its surface with integrated spacesuits.
The concept would allow crews to rapidly go outside if the crew see something worth exploring.
NASA astronaut Mike Gernhardt says: "It's not much bigger than the Apollo rover. I call it a cross between a sports car and a spacesuit."
According to a Florida Today report astronauts in spacesuits take a "physical beating for just a few hours in a suit" in the form of blisters, bruises, cuts and soreness.
