US-based Northwest Airlines took delivery of Embraer's 300th E-jet in a ceremony at the Brazilian aircraft manufacturert's headquarters in São José dos Camposo on 24 October.
The first Embraer E-Jet was delivered in March 2004.

Last year Northwest Airlines placed a firm order for 36 Embraer 175 jets to be operated by its regional subsidiary Compass Airlines, under the Northwest Airline brand.
The aircraft are configured in a dual-class layout with 76 seats – 12 first class and 64 economy. This is the fifth E-Jet in the airline’s fleet. The first E-175 was delivered last July.
The airline will be the first to operate the extended range variant, the E-175AR, which is scheduled to be delivered in 2008.
