Airbus Military has performed ground engine runs and initial taxying trials with its second production A400M Atlas transport, and expects the aircraft to make its flight debut before the end of May.
Pictured at the company's San Pablo final assembly and flight test site near Seville, Spain, aircraft MSN8 is the second Atlas to have been produced for launch user the French air force. It is due to be delivered during the thid quarter of this year, following a first example which should take a starring role at June's Paris air show.

Carrying the flight-test registration F-RBAB, Europrop International TP400-D6-engined airlifter MSN8 is taken from a 50-aircraft order signed by Paris. The aircraft is expected to perform its first flight on 30 May, Flightglobal understands.
