Singapore Technologies Aerospace (ST Aero) unveiled the latest model in its Skyblade series of tactical UAVs at the Singapore air show.
Powered by a petrol engine, the Skyblade IV could be flown for the first time by the end of this year and is being part-funded by the Singapore ministry of defence, says ST Aero defence business president Ho Yuen Sang.

It is designed to operate autonomously and enhance battlefield situational awareness, carrying a 12kg (26lb), gyro-stabilised surveillance payload. The 3.5m (11.5ft)-span UAV can fly at up to 15,000ft and has a maximum endurance of 12h.
