Boeing has delivered the second Peace Eye 737 airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system aircraft to South Korea.
Delivered to the Republic of Korea Air Force's Gimhae air base, the Peace Eye fleet's main operating location, the aircraft was the first to have been modified for the AEW&C mission at Korea Aerospace Industries' Sacheon factory.

Seoul's two remaining Peace Eye aircraft are being modified in Sacheon and will be delivered in 2012.
Based on the 737-700, Peace Eye is equipped with an active electronically scanned array radar produced by Northrop Grumman which can simultaneously track airborne and maritime targets. The modified airliner carries 10 mission crew consoles.
