Chile is close to receiving its next batch of ex-Royal Netherlands Air Force Lockheed Martin F-16AM/BM fighters, with the aircraft now being prepared at Leeuwarden air base.

Six of the secondhand fighters will depart the Netherlands on 12 November for future use by the Chilean air force. Their delivery will be supported by a Dutch McDonnell Douglas KDC-10 tanker/transport.

The first three of the F-16s were pictured while making functional check flights from Leeuwarden on 22 September.
