Airbus will begin the flight-test campaign on the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine over the coming weeks.
The first XWB engine, which will power the A350, has been installed on Airbus's A380 MSN 001 "flying testbed" aircraft.

The aircraft and engine will now be prepared for the flight-test campaign.
R-R's Trent XWB engine has a 118-inch diameter fan and has been specially designed to power all members of the Airbus A350 family.
