Three US Air Force Lockheed Martin C-130 transports were damaged when a tornado hit Little Rock AFB in Arkansas on 25 April.

Assigned to the service's 19th Airlift Wing, two of the Hercules were harmed while parked on the flightline.

Another suffered when the hangar in which it was being stored lost part of its roof during the severe weather.

The aircraft involved in the incident include a C-130E built in 1963 and an H-model aircraft completed in 1994, according to an Aon incident report.

Pictures released by the air force show damage to their nose sections and wing areas, including external fuel tanks and engine nacelles.
