For the first time, Farnborough hall gangways have been carpeted - more than 80,000 carpet tiles cover the aisles in the four halls.
P&O Exhibition Services has also provided more than 30,000m2 of sheet carpet and 4,000m2 of artificial grass for the chalets and stands.
To get the halls ready for the show, the 40-odd carpet fitters have used more than 120,000 staples, while 12 trailers have been deployed around the site distributing furniture ranging from folding chairs to leather suites.
