The Ukrainian commission set up to investigate the crash of a Sukhoi Su-27 at the Sknyliv airbase near Lviv on 27 July has found pilot error as the cause of the accident. Yevgeny Marchuk, Ukrainian national security council secretary and head of the commission, told local television that the pilots departed from the scheduled display, and broke the boundaries of the flying display area. The Su-27 crashed into the crowd, killing 85 and injuring more than 150.
