Pilots have raised fears over safety issues relating to Airbus's launch of the A380, according to the British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA). BALPA chairman Capt Mervyn Granshaw says his members are concerned that there has not been sufficient investigation into the logistsics of pilots making flights of more than 20h. "For duties over 20h the number of crew and the work and rest patterns they will need require further investigation. We are concerned that apparently there is some resistance to this further investigation and pilots worldwide will not allow safety to be put at risk like that."
