The resolution of the 30-year conflict at Tokyo's Narita Airport over a 550 square metre piece of plum tree farming land in the centre of the aircraft parking stands still does not clear the way for a second runway. Eight co-owners gave the plot to the New Tokyo International Airport Authority, but a similar section of farming land outside the boundaries held by airport opponents is still required.
