Polish charter carrier Bingo Airways has started operations with an Airbus A320 - the first of three scheduled to enter its fleet this year.
Bingo received the A320 (MSN 2118, build year 2003) from MCAP on 13 May under a six-year lease, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.
Its next two A320s will both be delivered in 2012, a spokesman tells Flightglobal, with contractual negotiations entering the final stages.
"Bingo Airways is aiming at three- to six-year dry leases," he says, adding that lessor names will be disclosed "as soon as the final delivery date has been confirmed".
The charter carrier's network focuses on Mediterranean destinations, which it will serve from two bases at Warsaw Chopin airport and Katowice airport.
Chief executive Marek Sidor says the A320 gives Bingo Airways "a competitive advantage over our main competitors on the Polish charter market".
