Delta Air Lines has changed its policy on the use of personal cellular telephones and laptop computers on aircraft. The move follows extensive testing throughout the airline's fleet to ensure that the equipment does not interfere with aircraft communication and navigation systems. Delta passengers can use their mobile telephones onboard while the aircraft is parked at the gate with the boarding door open. The use of laptop computers at the gate is prohibited.
