The Indian air force is to equip some of its fighters with a new version of Rafael’s Popeye TV-guided air-to-surface missile, following a successful test firing in India late last year. The development followed two earlier test firings from an air force Dassault Mirage 2000 that resulted in failure. Featuring an improved warhead, the new Popeye variant has a reported maximum range of 100km (54nm).
