AgustaWestland plans to deliver the first of 10 A109 Power helicopters ordered by the Libyan government by the start of 2007 (Flight International, 17-23 January). The helicopters are for border control applications. The Finmeccanica subsidiary expects to complete deliveries within three to four years. Libya is buying the helicopters as part of a deal worth up to €80 million ($97 million).
