The Israeli air force has begun operations with a new "low intensity" bomb developed by Israel Military Industries for use in densely populated areas. Offering improved accuracy and reduced collateral damage, the 910kg (2,000lb) -class weapon can be used with existing guidance kits for Mk 80-type bombs.
