Airbus will just about top 250 A380 deliveries by the time the programme closes in 2021, preliminary figures indicate.
The airframer had delivered 234 of the double-deck type by the end of January.
Emirates is set to take a further 14, having switched the rest of its A380 backlog to a mix of twin-engined A330neo and A350s.
Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways is also planning to receive three A380s.
These commitments would take Airbus’s overall A380 deliveries to 251 aircraft – far below its original forecast demand for the jet.
This production run would be around the same level as that for the Lockheed L-1011.
Airbus has recently been trimming its backlog for the A380, with cancellations from customers including Qantas and Virgin Atlantic.
Its only other outstanding orders for the type are 20 from lessor Amedeo and three assigned to an entity called Air Accord – which emerged following the demise of Russian carrier Transaero. Neither customer appears likely to take the jet.
