Rolls-Royce is encouraging science teachers from the UK and Ireland to enter the Rolls-Royce Science Prize and win prizes worth thousands of pounds, as well as a day with world-famous aerobatic team The Red Arrows.

The competition is designed to encourage and reward high-quality science teaching in the face of a growing skills shortage in science and engineering in the UK.

Rolls-Royce chief executive Sir John Rose said: "The Rolls-Royce Science Prize will reward teachers that engage and inspire more young people to be interested in science."
