Following an engine fire on 21 May in a Skywest Airlines Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia, the US National Transportation Safety Board has urged the Federal Aviation Administration to order an immediate one-time inspection of all Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 turboprop engines. The checks would ensure that the gas-generator case drain line and plug are correctly installed. Skywest's inspection of its 50 EMB-120s found two further aircraft with the aft drain-plug cap missing.
