Qantas Airways is to lease six more Boeing 717-200s and will establish an operating base for the aircraft in Hobart, Tasmania. The carrier is acquiring the 717s from unspecified lessors, and will take delivery of all six by the end of June. It already operates eight 717s inherited following last year's take-over of failed new comer Impulse Airlines.
