By re-configuring its existing Boeing 737s, and buying 15 new narrowbodies, Qantas is planning to create a fleet of some 40 all-economy class aircraft for domestic routes where there is little demand for business travel. It is also putting 767 and 747s on some routes in other moves to aggressively expand its domestic capacity.
