Australian national airline Qantas is to reshuffle its senior-level domestic and international operations management from 1 December. Gordon Howlett, executive general manager for international operations, will become executive general manager for national operations. Colin Hughes, group general manager for national operations, will become group general manager for international operations. Howlett joined Qantas in 1994 after a career with Avis Australia and a variety of consumer-goods companies. Hughes joined in February, after holding senior positions with Cathay Pacific, Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines. Ken Rosebery has been appointed marketing communications manager. He replaces Peter McLaughlin, who will become marketing manager in the Americas.
