Qatar Airways is the latest Gulf airline to extend its network to Australia, with plans to launch flights from its Doha hub to Melbourne this year. The airline will initially operate three services a week and later increase to at least a daily service. Meanwhile, Emirates will increase frequencies between Dubai and Sydney to twice a day four days a week from November, and double-daily all week from March.
