Qinetiq is to conduct a concept demonstration into the utility of employing networked synthetic devices during operational team and collective flight training for the UK Ministry of Defence. Scheduled to begin late last month, the up to £10 million ($17.7 million) study of mission training through distributed simulation will conclude in March 2008 after a trial series. The programme attracted earlier interest from BAE Systems, Boeing, CAE, Lockheed Martin and Thales.
