US hushkit manufacturer Quiet Technology Aerospace (QTA) has completed its 40th Gulfstream Stage 3 hushkit installation – six GIIs, four GIIBs and 31 GIIIs – since the kit was certificated in 1993. Opa-Locka, Florida-based QTA says it has five installations pending, including two Moroccan air force GIIs and a GIII used for presidential flights. “With the hushkit-equipped aircraft, the air force will be able to operate these business jets within Europe, where aircraft that do not meet Stage 3 noise standards are either banned or restricted unless special dispensation is given,” says QTA.
