Rolls-Royce has delivered its first three-bearing swivel nozzle module for the short take-off/vertical landing (STOVL) F-35B Joint Strike Fighter for integration with Pratt & Whitney's F135 engine. The STOVL aircraft's LiftFan propulsion system will undergo demonstration from May. The design's clutch has recently undergone 1,500 engagements in testing.
