Bearing manufacturer Timken is to provide an expanded range of parts and services for Rolls-Royce’s Model 250 helicopter engine under an alliance formed as part of the settlement of a commercial dispute between the two companies. The alliance grew out of a lawsuit filed by R-R against Timken last year over intellectual property rights. “We saw the benefit of creating a new arrangement,” says R-R.
Under the deal, Timken will become a 250 service facility.
