Boeing Australia is to roll out the Royal Australian Air Force's first partially upgraded F/A-18 Hornet on 7 September. The fleet is being reworked from A/B to a modified C/D standard through a two-phase, seven-year programme. The initial upgrade focuses on avionics while the later phase will see the fitting of the Raytheon APG-73 radars and new helmet-mounted cueing equipment.
