Elta Systems is to launch flight trials of its prototype EL/M-2052 fire control radar using Israel Aircraft Industries' Boeing 737 testbed. Initially intended for integration with fighters like Dassault's Mirage 2000 and Sukhoi's Su-30, the system can simultaneously detect 64 airborne targets and has high-resolution synthetic-aperture radar and ground moving target indication modes for air-to-surface operations, says Elta.
