The UK's Defence Evaluation Research Agency (DERA) has become the first organisation outside Canada to be certified to provide imagery from the Canadian Radarsat remote-sensing satellite through its ground station at West Freugh, Scotland. DERA holds a licence to distribute Radarsat data in the Denmark, Ireland and the UK, and has established an industry team, called RadarSolutions, to market value-added services and products. Also involved are Earth Observation Sciences, the National Remote Sensing Centre, the NPA Group and Matra Marconi Space.
