Raytheon Aircraft is close to announcing a date for the delayed roll-out of its Premier I light business jet. Three flight test aircraft are in the final stages of assembly at Wichita, Kansas, and the manufacturer has added a fourth aircraft to the flight test programme in an effort to certificate the $4.15 million Premier I by mid-1999. The original plan called for certification in the fourth quarter of this year, but design changes and delays receiving parts have resulted in slippage of several months. Raytheon says it has orders for more than 100 Premier Is.
