Raytheon Aircraft has launched a new service plan as it moves to revamp product support and restore customer confidence. The Support Plus plan covers all maintenance for a monthly fee. It is being rolled out for new Beechjet 400A and Hawker 800XP owners, with other types to follow.

Under the five-year plan, Raytheon is responsible for parts and labour costs for inspections, maintenance, component removals and service bulletin coverage. "This plan eliminates surprises," says Ed Dolanski, vice-president customer support. If costs exceed programme parameters, Raytheon and suppliers pay the difference, and operators can earn a bonus if payments exceed retail cost of services.
