Red Wings has signed a deal with Sukhoi to take three used Superjet 100 regional airliners to complement a fleet of Tupolev Tu-204s.
The airframer is to hand over the ex-Moskovia aircraft to Red Wings by year-end.
The Russian carrier has taken a one-year lease on the Superjets, with an option to roll over the agreement.
It plans to deploy them on services from Moscow to Chelyabinsk, Makhachkala, Mineralniye Vody, Sochi and Ufa.
Red Wings director Yevgeny Klyucharev says the airline will enter a new market niche with the Superjets and intends to have 15 of the aircraft in its fleet by 2017, while retaining eight Tu-204s.
