Robert Deluce, chief executive of Regional Airline Holdings (Regco), is suing the city of Toronto for more than C$500 million ($384 million) after the city's new mayor terminated a previously approved plan to build a bridge connecting Toronto City Centre airport with downtown Toronto. The C$500 million represents the value of an order Regco has conditionally placed with Bombardier for 10 Dash 8 Q400 turboprops to launch a new regional airline, but the project was contingent upon a bridge being built to replace the existing car ferry operation. Regco's unnamed airline had planned to launch services from Toronto this year.
