Honeywell has announced a string of new regional customers for its TCAS 2000 traffic alert and collision avoidance system. They include a deal with KLM-UK to fit the system, plus antennas, into five ATR-72s. An order from Crossair to fit TCAS 2000 to 29 Saab 2000 and 12 Saab 340Bs marks the first use of the Honeywell TCAS on Swedish made aircraft. The company's most recent contract comes from Regional Airlines of Nantes, France, which calls for the retrofit of eight Saab 2000 with the system. Additionally, the airline's six Embraer ERJ-145s will be upgraded from TCAS II to TCAS 2000, and its fleet of 15 EMB-120s will also be retrofitted within the next two years.
