Business aviation services provider Rizon Jet is poised to announce the placement of an aircraft in Riyadh, after signing an operation and management contract for a third Bombardier Challenger 605.
The Doha-headquartered business aviation operator now has a combined fleet of five aircraft - a long-range Global Express and a large-cabin Challenger 605, which it manages, and another 605 and a midsize Hawker 900XP, which it owns.
"This new management contract affirms the market's confidence in Rizon Jet's ability to operate and charter the Bombardier family," says Rizon chief executive Hassan Al-Mousawi.
Under the terms of the contract, Rizon Jet is responsible for flight operations, maintenance and charter of the Challenger 605. The aircraft is certificated for nine passengers and configured with club seating for four in the forward cabin, club seating for two in the aft divan and a four-seat dining table in the aft compartment.
The operator will be attending the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition this month, where it plans to sign a contract for the placement of a Challenger 605 in the Saudi Arabian capital.
Rizon Jet has operating bases in Qatar, the UAE and the UK, including VIP terminals at Doha International airport and London Biggin Hill airport.
Al-Mousawi says he expects a sharp increase in demand during the 2012 Olympics.
