Recent letters on this page have been about BAE's cancellation of the RJX. To my knowledge there has been no reaction from BAE.

It is incredible that the UK, with a history of aircraft manufacturing second to none, had only one company with any pretence to the building of civil aircraft. Embraer, Bombardier and Saab are doing well, but the UK is reduced to sub-contracting and manufacturing defence and arms-related goods.

It seems that once again the real producers of wealth - engineers - have been out-manoeuvred by accountants.
