Rockwell Collins (Hall 4, A2) has a range of communications and navigation systems flying aboard the new Airbus A380. Its contribution also includes networking components that enable data transfer between key aircraft systems.The equipment list includes the VHF-920 data radio, HF-900 data radio and Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR).

Also included is the VOR-900 omnidirection rangemarker beacon receiver, DME-900 distance measuring equipment and ADF-900 automatic direction finder. Rockwell Collins' MMR provides the aircraft's primary position, velocity and time reference and works with current and future global navigation and landing systems.

The company is also supplying the AFDX switch for the aircraft's Ethernet network, which provides the communications infrastructure to connect aircraft systems including displays, radios and navigation sensors.

Rockwell Collins is also developing and integrating the airline operational communications (AOC) applications and the avionics communications router (ACR) on A380.
