Bombardier Aerospace has selected Rockwell Collins' Pro Line 4 avionics for its new _90-seater CRJ900.Pro Line 4 is also standard on the CRJ200 and CRJ700 regional jets. The all-digital integrated Collins avionics system selected for the CRJ900 will provide fleet commonality and a common type rating.

The first delivery for the CRJ900 is scheduled to begin in January 2001. The system has been enhanced for operation within the evolving Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management environment and includes a six-display Pro Line 4 configuration. It has side-by-side primary flight, multifunction and engine displays for ease of use.
