UK based Doncasters (Hall 2 I12A) presence at Paris is boosted with the recent  €40m contract with Rolls-Royce to produce components of the Trent 800 used on the Boeing 777. Doncasters will manufacture low pressure directionally solidified investment cast blades at its precision casting facility in Bochum, Germany.  The Bochum facility already has a proven track record with Rolls-Royce as it also developed a similar blade for the Trent 1000 engine. “This latest contract with Rolls-Royce represent a milestone in Doncasters’ close relationship with the firm, and cements the worldwide reputation of our precision castings, Bochum site for highly exacting and technically demanding parts,” says Doncasters Group CEO Eric Lewis.
