One-Eleven Series 560

Romanian manufacturer Romaero (formerly IAvB/Rombac) concluded an agreement with British Aerospace in May 1977 to acquire the production rights for the One-Eleven twinjet, and final assembly was transferred from the BAe plant at Bournemouth-Hurn to Bucharest, Romania. The first Romaero-assembled One-Eleven 500, designated the -560, built from UK supplied sub-assemblies, was flown in September 1982. To date just nine aircraft have been completed and delivered, and the programme is now frozen.

One-Eleven 2500

This is the designation applied to the proposed R-R Tay 650-powered One-Eleven 500 derivative. The Romanian Government is seeking finance to secure funding for the programme; in particular to buy hardware and expertise from Dee Howard for the Tay installation, and to buy the engines from R-R. Romaero says that the programme is "frozen".
