While Etihad Airways has been making waves on the international stage, Abu Dhabi's new domestic operator Rotana Jet is ramping up its network after launching its fourth service to Al Ain.
Rotana Jet began scheduled domestic flights in June, operating out of Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen Airport to Sir Bani Yas Island using an Embraer ERJ-145 regional jet. The carrier has since added flights to Delma Island, Fujairah and as of 26 September, Al Ain.
"The people in Al Ain now have great travel options to worldwide destinations through Abu Dhabi International Airport," says the airline's commercial and planning director, Rajendran Vellapalath. "Rotana Jet is pleased to provide the much-needed connectivity."
Rotana Jet, which now operates two ERJ-145s, was established by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al-Nahyan in late 2010 and initially operated executive charter flights.
