Russia's sixth-largest airport - Tolmachevo, near Novosibirsk - signed a contract at Routes with global route development company Airport Strategy and Marketing (ASM) yesterday, to help the airport expand its international operations.

ASM has identified 21 viable route development opportunities in Europe and Asia, following a preliminary market-sizing and traffic-forecasting study.

"Our airport is enjoying a period of intense growth and we are on target to handle 2.75 million passengers this year - an increase of around 60% in two years," said Alexander Borodin, general director of Tolmachevo airport.
